The skirting board jumped out and attacked me yesterday, stubbed toes before but nothing like this. Cannot walk properly without a sharp pain in my 4th toe I think.
Managing to hobble about though.
looks like I have one hobbit foot.
Will a minor injury unit even bother x-raying? I don’t think there is any treatment anyway if toe is broken anyway.
Anyone here work at a MIU?

I dropped a disability bath chair on mine worse than that op. Healed fine eventually..

Looks like when I broke a toe, bruising looks just the same but mine was the baby toe on two occasions. The first time I went to A&E (over 20yrs ago) it was x-rayed declared broken and strapped to the next toe for a short time. The second time I just strapped it myself and both times it took a couple of weeks for the pain to go. I could barely walk, or get shoes on and very painful. The bruising gets worse then changes colour and dissipates. Unless it swells up, changes colour, or gets hot I would probably not go to A&E.

I broke two toes and had soft tissue damage by a heavy object falling on my foot, you’re right they don’t do anything for it other than a walking boot and crutches (I couldn’t put weight on my foot and couldn’t even walk for weeks). At least you know it’s your toe that’s probably broken. I’d personally see how it goes.

Having said that if you can’t walk properly it may be worth getting it checked out to get a walking boot.
