Has easyJet bookings changed recently?

I used to be able to travel with a small carry case for free but now they cost about £27?

Yet, a 23kg case to go in the hood is part of the ticket price?

I can't work this out!

I thought it would be cheaper for DH to have the hold case and DD's and I would rely on small cases to carry on. Easier to fit the cases in a hire car as well then.

Have I misunderstood or is it more costly to choose smaller cars to carry on now? Am I being a bit thick here??

DS is going to Greece for a week with easyJet. Not sure he has realised the size of the bag they are allowed. A pair of his shoes would probably take up the whole bag! First time holiday with mates, probably thinking back to his scout camps when he didn't bother changing clothes, but not sure his mates will be so forgiving whilst sharing B&B with him. Realistically will he cope for a whole week with a bag this size? I know I wouldn't but I always overpack.

I would buy one hold bag to share between them . They can put big stuff and their toiletries in. Then they don’t need to get anything out at security.
I’ve no idea how fussy your DS is but it would do a couple of pairs of shorts and t shirts plus chargers and a pair of flip flops. Not much else though.

I’m going BA too as it was £12 pp per trip for seat choice and a hold bag. Also I can bring wine back. I was quite happy with the old cabin allowance fir 4 days but can’t do it with the smaller bag.

I booked direct with easy jet, just checked again and it says we have small hold bags X 6, seats x 6 and hold bags x 3 🤷‍♀️ I assume the 6 is for 3 people there snd back but why only 3 hold bags... don't they expect you to bring your luggage back! I've not flown for years so I'm confused!

Just flights or an Easyjet holiday? Holidays include hold bags I think.

@Marchintospring he is the most low maintenance teenager I know in respect of clothes, he would be quite happy to just take the clothes he is wearing, not sure his mates will feel the same way!

Oh a holiday booked through easyJet app... don't get why the cabin bags say x6 snd hold bags x3 oh well if it get it wrong I guess I'll find out 😂
