Gift for nursery key worker

Our DS is about to go up a class at his nursery. I'm going to get a gift for the entire room he's currently in, but want to get something specific for his key worker. She is so good with him and he absolutely adores her (runs in every morning for a cuddle).

Looking at previous threads, vouchers seem to be the way to go but not sure what value to go for/where from?

Any advice would be fab as need to get them today as tomorrow is his last day in that class.

Thanks!

I've done Costa and Boots vouchers in the past, the Costa one seemed the bigger hit. I went for £15, which in my mind was enough to get a nice treat or two without breaking the bank.

Get whatever amount you can afford comfortably.

I’ve always done £25 M&S vouchers for all the workers in the room (when moving rooms and at Christmas), because I think parents who can afford to, should. It’s such a hard job.

Hi op, I work in a nursery, and any gesture at all from a parent is very much appreciated 🙂

As pp said a nice voucher is a good idea.

About 7 years ago one of my keyworker children brought me in a little Orchid in a beautiful pot thT could be used again.

I still have that little pot (in fact my sunflowers are growing in it) and it makes me think of that little girl and I wonder how she's getting on now 😊

Thanks for the suggestions. I will have a think - I'm so indecisive about what voucher to get!

ASOS vouchers have been a big hit with you her nursery staff for us.

I had a bracelet from a key child that moved on. It was just one of those thread ones with a little charm and a message. It's really nice to have something personal. Cost doesn't matter to me at all. I'd be delighted with a picture or card from one of my little ones. The ones I value the most are ones with appreciative messages!
We do work so hard and for such rubbish money and we give so much love and care to your child.

I tend to give a gift bag with different consumables in, so fancy biscuits and/or truffled, Costa or M&S voucher, bath bombs, mini bottle of wine, stuff like that. I don't want to clog up her life with things she feels she has to keep so like to get consumables.

DS is leaving nursery this year and spent 3 years with his key worker so I'm going to do something bigger this time. I value her so much. (All staff get biscuits or chocolates to share too.)

There's a really big Sainsbury's in the town where the nursery is (so lots of things, not just groceries) - would a Sainsbury's voucher be good, or does it come across as patronsing?

I would get Amazon or ASOS if the key worker is younger. Or love to shop. I think a Sainsbury's voucher is a bit weird to be honest. Costa is also a nice idea.
