Spending quality time with a young adult son

I'm looking for ideas of how to spend 1:1 mother/son time with a young adult son (he's 19). Son doesn't have any particular interests - he likes gaming, but the two of us gaming together is too stressful! We generally end up going for a walk, often including ice cream or cake but it would be good to occasionally do something different.

Any ideas?

This is m speciality subject as I have 3 adult DS’s. Things that work for us are trips to the cinema, restaurants such as Harvester, occasional trips to London and visit a museum, pop into town or a bigger trip to a very good shopping centre, Tesco that has a Costa, brunch at local garden center.

Cinema. Theatre. Art gallery (maybe a quirky one?). Day trip to the seaside.

I used to do Toby Carvery brunch too.

DS is nearly 19.
Long walks (2 hours ish) & ice-cream/chips/pizza is my goto. We go places where the land changes, like cliffs falling into the sea, & talk a lot about geography, weather, wild life. Neither of us like shopping. I guess a museum might work. Cinema would be ok by him, too. He does PGing with little brother.

Yes, it's a great opportunity, and it will help your son realise that people in their 80's are capable of normal conversation 😁

Invite yourself along, just say your son is going through the teen phase of being a bit awkward.

Ignore that! Wrong thread, sorry

We also walk a lot, we plan journeys, well he does. We get a train somewhere and go from there. We love a cemetery walk.

Pub lunches, milkshakes, various exhibitions.

I have done and continue to do the following with my son:
Walking, baking and cooking classes,
Art galleries, weightlifting, cycling.

Live music. My exH went to a nightclub in London with our almost 19 yo son.

We go to gigs together, similar taste in music, and we also both love movies, so often go to the cinema together.

We get the train somewhere for an afternoon.

We go to theatre, exhibitions or to good restaurants we both want to try, he wouldn’t come for a Toby / harvester trip. Mind you, I wouldn’t either. We also do breakfast with a dog walk in the country too

I have two sons, 24 and 22.
The 24-year-old lives at his dad's place about one km away, and I see him once a week. We are in this phase where we argue about everything-even stuff we agree upon!-so we maybe spend one to two hours together once a week. The go to I have with my older son is walking and spending time with my six-year-old chihuahua mix (female). They have a mutual adoration thing going, so she ends up being a happiness buffer between me and my older son.
I see my younger son for a few days here and there, since he lives two states away. When he is around, he goes out with friends a lot, but during the in-between times when we're together there's dog activities (at a park, preferably) or streaming movies or comedy specials. We do shop at thrift stores or at used bookstores together. I'm on a fixed income, so sometimes I will splurge on coffee and something sweet, but otherwise we cook at home.

We go for beach walks / dog walks / exploring new places together, watch films, clothes shopping / charity shops, car boot sales, mountain biking, cold water swimming, cooking, dog training, cocktails / live music / dancing.

Am going to a comedy gig with my 30 year old son in October. We will have a meal out beforehand. Cinema and music gigs also good, bowling, or art gallery. Our best thing is comedy though!
