How come I have only just discovered this?

Realisation: eyebrows also go white with age. I don’t know why it hadn’t occurred to me before.

Until yesterday I was resigned to penciling in my eyebrows, because my brows have disappeared.

My eyesight is worsening, and my once overly bushy eyebrows have been disappearing over the last 10 years. I have no visible look a bit alien-like without eyebrows so have been looking in to semi permanent eyebrow tattooing.

Yesterday I got a new prescription reading glasses, and saw that I DO have eyebrows…it’s just that they have gone white (and therefore invisible against my skin). I feel so silly, that I didn’t think that my brows would go white like my hair as I am getting older.

So yesterday I bought a box of eyebrow dye for £7. There is enough product for 10 applications. So for 70p I now have my old eyebrows back.they look totally natural with no dye on the skin.

No point to this post, but no one in real life to tell this tiny thing to, which will change my day.

I can't relate to no eyebrows as yet (😂) but I can relate to the worsening eyesight. I apply eyeliner and think it looks great, put my glasses on and it looks like a toddler has been at my eyes with a crayon.... 😳

Ha - I started going grey at 17 (I'm 61 now) but my eyebrows are still dark bar the odd one I just pluck out. I've always had thick brows - can't imagine what I'd look like if they turned white too.

Mine haven't yet, though my hair has, but my eyebrows are so sparse you'd barely notice.

Eyebrows thinning is linked to thyroid function not just age. There is hope they may grow back if it's that

In my sixties, the hair all over my body has become very thin, sparse to non-existent.

Micro bladed brows has been a game changer for me, to keep some definition for my face

Yes about the grey hair.
For anyone using the Philips Lumea in the bikini area, just get on and do it now while you are young - don’t wait for the greys which can’t then be zapped successfully.

Interestingly, adding in testosterone gel alongside HRT caused my grey eyebrows to regrow with colour, similarly previous sparse eyelashes regrew more fully.

You'd never seen an old dude with bushy white eyebrows? They're everywhere 🤣 check out this old guy 🎅
Although not everyone's brows go white. I've definitely seen some white haired people with dark brows too and one old geezer with white hair and a dark moustache.

I think that the fact that I am post menopausal, with less hair on my arms, legs etc, made me jump to the conclusion that this lack of eyebrows was a lack of eyebrow hair rather than greying.

My brows today, post dyeing look natural rather than sculpted, which is how they looked when penciled in. I love it, I look like me, not a made up version.

I am also very happy as an avid swimmer that I wont feel self conscious anymore in the pool with my lack of brows, hooray!

p.s. I know that it is a silly superficial thing . have lots of very scary serious things going on, and it is a tiny thing amongst some hellish events that give me a little joy.
