going mad

I wear three rings. One on my left middle finger, one on my right middle finger and one on my 4th finger of the right hand. I never take these rings off. Three days ago I woke up and the ring on my 4th finger on my right hand was gone. How could that have happened. I live by myself so how could i have gone to bed with it on and woke up with it missing. It was a 21st birthday present from my parents and have had it on that finger ever since.

You could say well it is only a ring but it was a sentimental value one and strange that it is gone. The other two rings are still attached to my fingers so why would this one go missing. Could I have taken it off in my sleep? That is the only explanation. I have searched my bedroom high and low and cannot find it

Yes you could have taken it off in your sleep.
I once swapped a ring from one hand to the other in my sleep and another time took my watch off and put it under my pillow. No recollection of doing either of these things.

Would it have slipped off while washing your hands before bed. Soap would make it slippy and lower. Or even earlier that day and you never noticed until the following morning

I lost a ring if great sentimental value, on a farm. Never found. If you did take yours off in your sleep it should turn up. Maybe ina bedside cabinet drawer? Under the bed? I do hope you find it x

Every so often I find my wedding ring under my pillow. I don't ever remember taking it off.

the ring is a tight fit and I do not wash my hands before bed. I would have noticed it if hd slipped off during a hand wash. At the end of the day its only a ring. It did not cost much money at the time because it was 40 years ago and the same ring now would be three times the money. I could buy an identical ring but it would not be the same. I will get a different one to wear on that finger. Sometimes I am sentimental and sometimes not. I have a gold necklace that my grandmother gave me when I was aged 11 and I still wear it today. I would be devastated if I lost it. I will just get another ring.

I had another ring that I really liked and the pearl kept falling out even after the shop kept gluing it back on. Eventually I gave up and threw it away and got another ring and I prefer that one so maybe I will prefer a different type of ring

I have linked below what kind of ring I lost. I do not think people wear these rings anymore
