Wobbly adult tooth in child -posting for traffic

10 days a go my 10 year old DS bit into a solid lump of hard chocolate. Straight after he said his adult tooth felt wobbly.

I had a look and it was slightly wobbly. This was on a weekend. We got a dentist appointment on the next Monday.

The dentist said when an adult tooth has a "trauma" they can look wobbly because the roots of adult tooth in children havent toughened up yet. She said she expected in a few days it would be fine/sort itself out.

Anyway DS has just told me he thinks it is still a bit wobbly. I've had a look and it is still very slightly wobbly. Should we go back to the dentist or does it need a bit more time? We go on holiday abroad on Friday, so not sure what to do!

If it’s not hurting then I’d say give it more time and keep an eye on it in the future. You could go back for reassurance but I doubt they’ll do or say any different. Small chance the nerve will die in future if it has been knocked hard, so look out for pain or it going dark.

probably will settle just fine 👍🏼

Thank you @Chukkachick that's what I'm beginning to think now I've had chance to think it though clearly, dentist wasn't concerned. She did say it would definitely be settled down way before we go on holiday which is why I'm worried. Kids eh😵‍💫
