Evri- how lo to wait for parcel

I know it depends massively on the area but I thought I'd ask the question. I'm B73 postcode if anyone is reading from that location!

Bought from a small business I have used before. Never any issues.

Evri Tracking says parcel being sorted. It's now been 10 days since the business said it was sent with Evri. How much longer do I give them? A week, 10 days?

I don't know whether to contact the business and make them aware. But they would probably say give it a bit longer.

WWYD?

Contact the business and make them aware you haven't got your parcel.

They should contact Evri by email who will tell them, by email, where your package is.

I had to do this at Christmas when one of my packages didn't arrive for 3 weeks. When it arrived it felt like it had been stored outside as it was ice cold.

Contact the business. They should be able to chase this for you and if the parcel is lost, refund you or re send

It used to be policy that if the parcel hasn't 'moved' for 5 days then it's considered lost. But you'd have to contact the sender for refund/replacement and they would claim from the courier

I recently sent something via Evri that wasn't delivered because the recipient was out during the first attempt.

Everything then 'stopped' as far as the tracking was concerned and my buyer contacted me after a couple of days when it became apparent there was a problem.

I did the online chat on the website and somehow managed to get passed on to a real person, who was very helpful and was able to contact the depot to get them to find out what was going on.

After a few days of back and forths, the parcel was located and delivered. I suspect that the courier had mislaid the parcel, was ill or similar, but all was well in the end.

So for the OP I would ask the sender to take it up with Evri, although as they're a business and not an individual selling their old stuff like I was, they might prefer to just send out another item, depending on the value of whatever you bought.

I did an online chat like Barbara , with the Evri app. My parcel had been 'with Evri' for about 10 days. They said they would start an investigation and two days later my parcel arrived. Doing that was easier than trying to contact the site I purchased from.

I don't think there's any point waiting without informing the seller or Evri that it hasn't arrived and tracking hasn't progressed at all. If they don't know, they won't be able to look into it and likely nothing will change.

I'd message the seller in the first instance.

Thanks all. Seller messaged so 🤞🏻
