Mats with drainage for garden playhouse

Hi,

My parents have bought our young children a Little Tykes playhouse for the garden.

We put bark chippings down for a soft base but all the local cats decided to use it as a litter tray (FFS). We're going to have to remove it and find a plan B.

I wondered about rubberised mats with drainage holes. The house won't be on the lawn but a section of garden which was previously gravel (gravel removed and was replaced with the bark chippings).

I've found a product called Easimats but they're currently out of stock on Amazon. There are others but they're either really expensive or not big enough.

Playhouse base dimensions are 120
93 x 122cm.

If anyone has any advice on what we could use as a base I'd be really grateful!

I’ve been looking for something similar for the bottom of our slide. I googled mesh swimming pool mats and I went down a dozen Amazon rabbit holes and ended up looking at these. I haven’t bought them yet though as I really wanted something rubbery and softer for landing on..

What about a square of artificial grass?

Definitely the right kind of idea but they look like hard plastic rather than rubberised so would be potentially painful to land on!

Exactly that kind of thing. Those aren't very thick (0.9cm) but would do the job. Thanks for the link!

Not ideal if I'm honest.
