Totter and tumble mat or alternative?

We have a shaggy rug that has been better days with 2 young children around. 🤦🏼‍♀️has anyone got any recommendations for an easy clean rug? Are the T&T mats worth it? Or shall I just get a low pile rug to replace it.

I'm thinking of the potty training we will be doing in the near future and just general mess children bring.

Do they stain easily? Are they that not very nice plasticy playmat feel you get with the click together playmat squares?

Haha yay! I do find ours seems to accumulate 'bits' as we have wooden floors and it's in a bit of a through route but a quick hoover and it's holding up incredibly well considering how much use it gets!

I love it and am annoyed that I didn't buy it when my eldest was a baby 3 years ago 😆

I can recommend Rock Stepper playmat (https://rockstepper.com/product/rock-stepper-playmat-bundle/)

Feels the exactly the same as totter and tumble mat (i had a swatch sample from them to compare) so its wipeable etc. They have a design of a patterned side and then educational side which my kids use for all sorts of things.

Rock Stepper - Reversible Baby Play Mat includes Flash Cards

As I mentioned on another thread trying to caution against these mats - they have a very concerning chemical smell that doesn’t go away easily - we tried off gassing for 3 days and there was no sign of the smell subsiding and the family suffered headaches. Definately not a healthy choice.

Ours had no smell at all. Maybe contact them.
