At what age does this become inappropriate?

At what age does it become inappropriate for a child to sleep naked with their parent of the opposite sex? Parent wearing t-shirt and pants but the child wearing nothing?

Yeah, I'm wondering why the child is nude too (won't it be cold??), I understand if they parent is nude though (and tbh not sure when it becomes inappropriate, maybe 5 or 6?)

My DD (no.3) is the only one who likes to sleep naked. I try and encourage her to have pants on but she prefers to be in the buff 🙄

In your case, the fact she won't ALLOW HIM UNDERPANTS is very alarming. I'd be seeking to her social worker asap it's wrong. Poor boy

They had a social worker when they lived with her but don't any more now they are with us. There have been a few things we have contacted social work about since they have come to us, and during this contact the underwear thing has been mentioned to them. A social worker agreed with us that it was really strange but basically now they are living with us the majority of the time, SW aren't really interested in what happens there unless it's really extreme. We still pass things on anyway just so that there's a record of it all..

All the 'they' and 'them' business is very confusing, sounds as though there are several of 'them' instead of one small boy. I realise it has become fashionable of late in some quarters but we don't have to give in to it surely?

When I'm saying 'they' in the context of 'when they came to live with us' I'm meaning my stepkids, this issue is only relevant to my youngest stepson though. Sorry if that was confusing, was just an automatic way to write.

I've never done this- i wouldn't want a gross kid bottom on my sheets for a start

There’s one hard and fast rule in my house - no bare bums on the sofa (or any soft furnishings tbh including carpet) 😂

The fact that he is not being allowed wear underwear would be a concern for me.

Gladragson apologies for jumping to the conclusion you were dodgy................ alas so many are!

I only ever sleep with jammies/nightie on so and have only ever put my babies to bed with onesies or jammies on. Even if it is boiling hot Im not a fan of sleeping without some sort of nightie on. With a baby/child in the bed......... even a very little one unless actually bfing Id have some sort of night attire on.
