DD is having 6 of her friends coming around for a sleepover for her birthday. They are arriving just before teatime, leaving mid morning the next day!

Can anyone suggest some ideas for games, entertainment, food etc? I’m a little nervous! 😂

Food is suggest you just ask her what she wants

Thebigblueballoon · 16/05/2023 14:15

Facemasks and mini pampering packs.
Pizza, with lots of nibbly bits.
Have a good film selection on standby.
Create a nice relaxing space in the lounge/bedroom - cushions, and blankets etc

Of course, their ages will make a difference as to what’s best to offer.

Definitely need a good film with popcorn and sweets.
What is she in to?

For my DDs sleepover we hired one of those igloo tents and had it set up as a cinema inside . So they were in there chilling with sweets and popcorn for ages . Then I put on a disco in the living room later on in the evening to burn some energy . I ordered pizza and chips for them all as I couldn't be doing with cooking but I set up a sweet and snack table with crisps , brownies , sweets etc
The next day I done them all pancakes for breakfast. They all mucked in . I was exhausted afterwards but dd loved it and is going to do it again this year .

My daughter is having a sleepover party this weekend. We are doing party tea in the garden/gazebo, icing cupcakes then have some craft stuff to make. Living room set up with little tents and fairy lights, film, popcorn. Croissants and OJ for breakfast.

Unfortunately we have no outside space so everything will have to be indoors x

Ah I was dreading my dd’s 10th bday sleepover but it turned out to be a lovely party.
We let them set up tent sleeping bags in the living room then walked them to a local restaurant for tea. They had a playground there and they enjoyed playing outside before and after eating.
That plus the walk there and back used up some time energy. Then I think they did some YouTube karaoke and watched a film before settling down.
I had to go in at about 12.30 to tell some them to go to sleep but apart from that not too bad.
Then croissants and juice for breakfast and collected at 10.

Just try to get them outside and active during the evening would be my advice!

I got fabric pens and white pillowcases when my dd had a sleepover party and they decorated them. She went to one where they all painted each others nails. The mum had one of those machines that dries them and dd thought that was the bees knees.

Try to keep them going for as long as possible before out till on a film so that they go to sleep afterwards rather than thinking 'now what?'

Pizza and garlic bread for dinner, birthday cake. Open presents and play around with what she's been given together. A craft activity (like the decorating pillowcases idea!) and some dancing, maybe some karaoke? Pampering - put PJs on, do each other's hair, paint nails, get some gems for nail art, face masks. Movie time with popcorn, hot chocolate with marshmallows or you can buy those bubble tea kits, they could have fun making those. Allow at least a couple hours of gossiping in bed before they fall asleep! For breakfast I like to make waffles with vanilla greek yoghurt, berries and honey/chocolate syrup.

Definitely a movie, maybe throw in a semi scary one, i remember those fondly from sleepovers (not an actual horror lol), it hyped up the atmosphere

SollaSollew · 16/05/2023 20:30

just had my daughter's sleepover party for her 10th birthday. I bought (because it was a last minute panic!) but I'm sure you could make, a pass the parcel but with truth or dares in it for each round then a prize at the end. It went down brilliantly. Also did musical statues (surprised how much they still enjoyed it) plus craft activity and pizza making. I only suggested something when it looked like they were getting fidgety or one of them was drifting off from just hanging out as it's a long time to try to fill with constant activities!.

They spent quite a lot of time just chatting, opening and playing with her gifts and watching a movie later on.

There were sweet bags, blankets, a small teddy and pjs as the party bags (thank you Primark!) and also doughnuts instead of cake (not sure how much help that is!)

I do parties / bell tents / teepee sleepovers !

Pamper kits always work
Well!

We're doing a party soon ... Art sleepover

Each child has a little
Art pack and a easel each.

You can also do a scrapbook sleepover ! So they get a big scrapbook - take photos. Print them off and decorate the book. So the birthday girl
/ boy can keep it! Xx

Ideas for sleepovers with a 10 yr old and 3 yr old very fun. Thanks__

MummyJ12 · 30/10/2024 14:44

Recently had a sleepover party for DD of a similar age, I made up a big hamper of sleepover treats; Face mask sheets, snuggly socks, glow stick party pack (they had great fun with this!) Popcorn, Hismile toothpaste, sleep masks, and sweets.
I would be tempted to take them out for a game of bowling or something so they can blow off some steam somewhere other than your house!
Pizza, hot dogs, chips for food and a movie is a great idea but you’ll probably find that they are great at entertaining themselves and spend their time making dens and playing their own games so I wouldn’t manage their time too much.

Waffles, pancakes and fruit always go down a treat for breakfast too. With a couple of variety packs for those who just want cereal. With a selection of fruit juices.

MummyJ12 · 30/10/2024 14:46

Ooh and my daughter’s favourite game was hobby horse racing (but we had the hobby horses already!)
