Eurostar / SNCF to South of France - what do I need to know / do / bring?!

Just me and the DC, not traveled abroad since before they were born! I think I have it all covered but am now worried I have missed something vital! I am also disabled and travelling with a wheelchair which is another worry!

I have booked all journeys, got insurance, passports, travel adapters, going to get some € to take with us for the journey as we’ll have to get a couple of taxis. Am fairly confident in the journey to Paris, less confident from that point onwards! We are staying in Paris overnight then
a fairly early SNCF to the south of France.

Any suggestions / recommendations for things I should know or might have forgotten?!

Have a good time. French trains are comfortable and generally on time, and if you take a TGV they tend to be pretty quiet too. If you don't speak French the announcements in the station tend to be only in French, and platform numbers are usually only posted 20 minutes before the train leaves, so don't panic if there isn't one when you get to the station. Relais H is hideously over priced, train station cafes are not as expensive as you might fear. If it's a TGV, then the stations in the south tend to be quite nice and modern.

Check out the seat61.com website loads of useful info there. The man who set it up is a superstar for providing so much information about rail travel 👍🏻

Don't buy croissant to eat on the train, you'll make a horrible mess. Otherwise enjoy the view!
