Ok so...bit deep but was watching (YouTube rabbithole) this clip the other day where this guy had a near death experience and he said as he left his body it occurred to him how ridiculous it was that he had been fully convinced that he was John Doe from Idaho or wherever...the welder with 3 kids. Because the truth is its all just a simulation. How he was affronted to have to go back and resume the sharade when they revived him. But apparently, we choose each life before we come down.
And it got me thinking, if it was all like a videogame game...where you choose your character...the strengths, weaknesses, trials, what we want to gain from this time around...why would I have chosen my current life? What purpose could it have in terms of higher development or simply, just, fun.
Eg: my dad was a chef. Maybe I picked him because I thought 'hey, I'd like a chance to eat some good food' (turns out he never cooks at home so that backfired lol).
Then there's harder lives...or shorter lives...for the development of strength? Compassion? Insight? To further understand the human condition? Who knows...
I know, bit deep. I'm sure many would say they would never have chose their current life if it was a choice. But that asside for now, if you had chosen your life, just looking it on paper maybe without extreme detail, why would you have chosen it?
For example - what things would you have wanted to experience and how has your life allowed your 'character' to do that?
What trials would your character experience and what purpose if any, would they serve?
Why would you have chosen to be born in the place you were born? Around the people in your life?
What about the way you look? Your gender and ethnicity? Health? Ect...
