Do typos get on your nerves? (light-hearted)

I know more people use their phones now which may account for the increased number of typos. Some words, sentences and posts are virtually incomprehensible due to the typos though 🫣

On the village FB page, some of the replies are nonsense, but the other people appear to understand them and respond with their own nonsense accordingly, resulting in a full page of nonsense 🤔

Don't people read before posting? I'm not talking about dodgy spelling or grammar, just careless typos.

A Facebook friend thanked their college’s instead of their colleagues for nurse’s day.
It’s not difficult to read the post before ok-ing it.

They used to before I met my husband. English is his fourth language and he has mentally translate Arabic into French and then into English every time he speaks and writes/types so all typos and mistakes in quick comments and messages are ignored. He asks me to always point out the typos but I never do because that would make me a massive twat. If he has to write an essay or letter then he focuses fully and writes beautifully.

Oh dearie me, I wouldn't dare correct the people on FB. They'd go bananas. In incomprehensible gibberish of course 😂 it's a bit of a nuisance when you can't make out what someone's trying to say though.

Typos which are obvious typing mistakes or the effect of autocorrect don’t really bother me. Bad spelling, grammar, punctuation or lack of paragraphs etc do tend to bother me though. That’s probably unreasonable as in most cases typos are due to being careless and could be corrected if the poster bothered to proof read whereas poor spelling/ grammar etc are more likely to be due to something the poster can’t help such as dyslexia or not being a native English speaker. I am lazy though and never proof read whereas I have a fairly good grasp of spelling and grammar etc so probably judge people as I would judge myself; I will forgive myself a typo but will be annoyed at myself for days if I make a mistake such as mixing up hear and here or it’s and its as I feel I should know better.

My own typos really annoy me when i can't alter them. Not generally bothered by other people's though.
