I am in a rut

Won’t go into detail but I am unhappy with a lot of aspects of my life. I know I need to make some changes.

Do you have any recommendations on some inspiration / self - help resources? Podcasts, books, YouTube channels, videos etc.

What really helped you figure everything all out and get back on track?

Realising that unless I take full accountability for my own life and my decisions, that I will never progress, grow and create the life I desire and know I innately deserve because I'm relinquishing my power to do so to a victim mindset.

@jacquec thank you - that’s really solid advice!

Try Googling ‘wheel of life’. It really worked for me about 10 years ago and I continue to use it.

Basically, you score each aspect of your life on a spider diagram which allows you to see what’s out of balance and where to concentrate on improving things and what’s really making you unhappy.

10 years ago I realised by doing it that I didn’t have very strong friendships so I invested time and effort in this area. I am bloody glad I did because six years later my life suffered some major issues and I had friends who were there for me.

Society has done a fantastic job of subliminally conditioning you to think you're at the mercy of external happenings all the time. Closer to the truth is that only around 10% of the things that happen in your life will be uncontrollable (and even then you can choose 100% of the time how you want to perceive it), and the remaining 90% is the product of your own conscious and unconscious choices.

I like Unfuck Your Habitat. It's about cleaning but the general principles are transferable.
