What could be causing my low sodium levels?

I've been in hospital this week after a car accident. Concussion and broken ribs mainly. I'm on the mend as far as my injuries go but they keep telling me my sodium levels are low. They seem a bit baffled and are transferring me for more tests. Does anyone have any experience of why this could be? I've read it can be heart or liver related? Any experiences would be appreciated.

I've had low sodium levels 2 now and they decided it was my anti depressants and changed them.
The first time I was unconscious with levels of 110 and could have died and the second they were 118 with acute kidney injury stage 1.
It seems to be ongoing though, as I now have swollen feet and legs and the dr can't give me water tablets as they cause low sodium, so I'm having blood tests done on Tuesday to test my kidney function.

I had low sodium on a hair mineral test and was told it’s common in women due to stress and ‘adrenal fatigue’. Your adrenals sit on top of your kidneys and in times of stress (all the time?!) you use up your sodium supplies really fast apparently. Also sodium works in conjunction with the other electrolytes potassium and magnesium so if those are out of balance it can impact sodium too. If you drink loads of water and don’t add much salt to your food and/or sweat and/or exercise a lot these can affect levels too. What is your lifestyle like? What did they say your levels were? Slightly low or very low?

Hi op sorry to revive (hope you are well recovered now!) I have low sodium following an infusion and just wondering what I can do before being tested again. Been told to restrict fluid to 1 litre per day.
