Please can someone recommend a film for myself and my very narrow 19 year old daughter?
She likes whodunnits ( she loved Glass Onion and Knives Out) , thrillers and court room dramas. Police stuff good too if it's pacy or gritty.
We have access to Netflix, Disney+ , iPlayer and Prime.

Witness for the Prosecution is an old film but it's really good

The best in the genre, for me. I envy anyone watching it for the first time and it's included with Amazon Prime.

Anyone remember Jagged Edge, from the 80s? That's very exciting in parts, especially the ending.

I've been trying to find Jagged Edge for ages. Doesn't seem to be available on any of the usual platforms. Would really love to re watch it.

I do remember Jagged Edge. Glenn Close at her best. Another one I suddenly remembered is Primal Fear. Ed Norton and Richard Gere I think

skippy67 · 14/05/2023 17:46

Primal Fear is another good one. Currently on Netflix.

skippy67 · 14/05/2023 17:47

A Time to Kill - Very good, and quite possibly the sweatiest film ever made.

I would recommend 'The Lincoln Lawyer'. It was a film and is now also a Netflix series.

rileynexttime · 14/05/2023 18:11

Perry Mason 4 episodes a season (I think ) ,on Prime

Little known, but absolutely excellent, though brutal, Shepherds and Butchers on Netflix.
