Just looking for inspiration.
DD is 4 and we are a bit past some of the more “toddler-ish” activities

We tend to have a class each day to give us some routine, so tennis on a Saturday and karate on a Sunday.

My son tends to need a lot of downtime so we're generally at home for the rest of the time. Playing, watching tv/gaming etc. I think it's important to recognise if your child is out at nursery or school all week, then need time at home to play and relax.

Youcancallmeirrelevant · 13/05/2023 09:03

Swimming lesson then home for the day today, 1 birthday party tomorrow then home again.

DD is 6 and has loads of toys/trampoline etc so we spend a lot of time at home

Sprogonthetyne · 13/05/2023 09:05

Today DS (6) has a cello lesson, and we also have some stuff due back at the library, so we'll probably spend some time there (they have a garden, playroom and craft table).

He's still impressed with bigger soft plays (though not the £3 one at leisure centre anymore). Park goes down OK, but usually drive to a different ones instead of the small one down the road on repeat. National trust places with grounds/woods/playgrounds are popular as is the beach. We have season passes to some local attractions, which we get a lot of use from, and go swimming at some point most weeks.

Ellemeg82 · 13/05/2023 09:07

Today we have a birthday party at 11-2 and then we're going to the retail park to Curry's to get a new oven as ours packed up!
Tomorrow depending on the weather we've got some gardening jobs to do so DS will play in the garden and we'll maybe have a BBQ.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 13/05/2023 09:09

My eldest is nearly 6, we will be at the park with friends, the library, maybe softplay tomorrow and a swimming lesson

Anon9898 · 13/05/2023 09:26

I am taking my children to a movies for juniors at the cinema, out for lunch l, then off to the park for an hour m before home, dinner and bath.

DD (5) is at performing arts class this morning, then we’re off to a food festival with some friends and their toddler. Tomorrow she’s doing a kids charity run, then we might go to my mums for lunch and home to chill in the afternoon.

Pinchaperfect · 13/05/2023 09:39

8year old is my youngest. Relaxing in the house playing with his toys this morning. then the park this afternoon with a friend from school. he'll play roblox later too.

Nothing planned for tomorrow, maybe swimming as live just across the road from it, otherwise playing in the garden on his trampoline wich is his favourite thing ever, maybe a walk.

YouNeverCanTellWithBees · 13/05/2023 09:40

Swimming this morning and dancing tomorrow morning but other than that no plans. I wanted to do jobs in the garden but it's miserable again. We always have boring house/admin stuff to do at weekends so generally me and dh alternate supervising DC with doing jobs. Maybe I need to make more time for wholesome family fun like the aforementioned middle class post!

Veryverycalmnow · 13/05/2023 09:42

Swimming, Art club, time at home and maybe a scoot/ bike to the park.

YouJustDoYou · 13/05/2023 09:43

National park walk.

TheFluffiestHobo · 13/05/2023 09:45

We've just been swimming now burning off some more energy in the playpark. After that we'll go home so I can tackle the garden and the dc can play on their tablets.

Tomorrow dd is doing the last leg of a half marathon they've been doing at school. Then we'll have a mooch around town and back home for a roast.

All stars cricket training - Highly recommend this, great value and DS has made lots of friends at the cricket club
Library to swap books and for Lego club. Again well worth seeing what regular events they have on.
Family swimming, free as we are all members and DS gets free use as he has a midweek lesson
Football match - as a result of going to the cricket club regularly DS joined the football team attached to the club. This is a mixed team, boys and girls. Probably have a drink in the bar afterwards with the other parents too.
Mid week DS does beavers - great value for money less than £20 a month and it’s a drop and go. Whoop!

Starcircle · 13/05/2023 11:13

@namechange3394 they are 8 and 5, the 5yo found it a little hard to trust the ropes and thought that he would tumble to the ground if he lost his grip but he got braver as the session went on - I think if we went a second time he’d enjoy it even more! It was ages 4+ so your little one could certainly give it a go!

Decafflatteplease · 13/05/2023 11:40

We usually spend Saturday morning just pottering around the house we love Saturday morning, maybe homework, laundry etc.

Saturday afternoon is usually out somewhere either swimming, national trust, nature reserve etc. Or town for any errands/library.

Sunday morning usually church then sun afternoon just chill, make sure uniform etc ready for week, more homework.

Always have a nice meal on a Sunday usually a roast or lasagna, something more special than our weekday meals.

SkankingWombat · 13/05/2023 13:41

6 & 8 yo here.

This weekend is a quiet one. Both have their usual swimming lessons and homework. Both DCs and I are doing a charity distance swim today, but that's pretty much it. The rest of the weekend will be spent playing (DCs) and gardening (adults) plus a few jobs like food shopping.

Last weekend involved a picnic, BBQ, and kid's party. Next weekend involves another picnic, an adult birthday party, a playdate, and a swim gala.

popandchoc · 13/05/2023 13:46

Today she has swimming lesson and tap lesson this morning . Currently in pub garden with a play area while her sister is at cheerleading .
tomorrow we are going to Thorpe park but we normally are just at home and do a park trip or similar .
