Which Air Fryer ?

Maltybiscuit · 12/05/2023 07:53

Boring question I suppose but someone wants to buy me an air fryer , they are asking me which one I'd like, a single drawer , a double drawer , brand etc etc. What are you favourites ?

Ninja dual. Two drawers, good selection of fan speeds, can fit an incredible amount of food in it. The latest model has a meat probe which looks very handy!!

TheShellBeach · 12/05/2023 10:57

None. They're overrated. I sent mine back.

I agree with this. Handy for doing meat in one drawer and potatoes in the other - you can have a different function/temperature/time for each drawer, and the Synch them so they finish cooking at the same time.

Can fit a medium chicken in a drawer - comes out lovely!

I also love my ninja dual

Maltybiscuit · 12/05/2023 15:00

They are so many different types , I'm currently looking at the Ninja speedy as I make a lot of meals which create sauce and I don't think the dual drawer one would work for that kind of meal ?

Just got the bbq one & it's excellent, worth considering

loganfuckingroy · 12/05/2023 15:12

The Ninja Foodi is good. I got it to replace an old George Foreman and slow cooker. Saves lots of counter space, we barely use our hob and oven anymore.

Lavendersquare · 12/05/2023 15:16

Another vote for Ninja, I absolutely love ours.

Maddy70 · 12/05/2023 15:18

I really like the ninja. But bought my daughter an unknown make and it's virtually the same

Gazelda · 12/05/2023 15:21

I love mine but bitterly regret not getting a 2 drawer.

Ok, 'bitterly' might be a tad over dramatic in the context of kitchen appliances.

mommybear1 · 12/05/2023 15:21

Definitely the two drawer we had a single one and sent it back the two drawer is great we love it. Ninja Dual I think ours is called

Mentallyaware · 12/05/2023 15:23

Ninja dual. I thought it was a bit gimicky but actually do most of my cooking with it now.

It does you just need to work out the settings and take the crisper tray off the bottom of the drawer

bellinisurge · 12/05/2023 15:25

Ninja dual. Excellent thing

MadeForThis · 12/05/2023 15:28

Ninja af400. It's the bigger version of the af300.

spotddog · 12/05/2023 16:49

@Mentallyaware do you mean liquid type foods (casserole type things) can be cooked in Ninja dual?

There are recipes online, so yes.

Personally if I want a stew or casserole i use my slow cooker

slithytoveisascientist · 13/05/2023 09:41

Ninja duel
We have silicone inserts for saucy things

Eyesopenwideawake · 13/05/2023 09:44

Ninja Foodie. I originally bought a Dual but barely used it so swapped in for the Foodie and do most of my cooking in it now.

spotddog · 13/05/2023 10:11

Thanks for casserole tip. Another thing to cook in my much used Ninja.

Maltybiscuit · 13/05/2023 13:00

I've purchased a Speedi , thanks for all the tips

Ninja Dual.

I have not used my oven since Boxing Day.

Topseyt123 · 13/05/2023 16:51

We have a Ninja Dual. It's good and holds plenty. My DD and her boyfriend like it and cook their own meals in it. I've yet to get used to it enough to make it my "go to" appliance, but I do like it. I'm just a creature of habit.

Bathroomlove · 13/05/2023 16:57

@Maltybiscuit I see you've chosen one. I hope it works out for you.

in case anyone else us reading, trying to decide....

I've been contemplating getting one for ages. I had thought I'd get a dual drawer ninja. But they're expensive and I'm not very good with 'gadgets' so I thought I'd probably not use it. y friends gave a dual drawer ninja and it's SO big. I really didn't want one in my small kitchen.

then I went into my neighbours (same kitchen design) and they had just got one & it looked more compact & not dominating (still 2 drawer)

Sur La table from Costco. £85 plus vat.
so I went & got one. It's been brilliant, my only regret is not getting it sooner. It's reasonably easy to use, really easy to clean and SO fast & means I don't need to use my oven, so I cook a wider variety of things that don't seem 'wasteful' (putting the oven on) just for me.

of course now I've bought it, they're on special at Costco!!
