Do you like Beanies coffee?

My friend loves drinking beanies coffee. I was intrigued so got a variety pack with 12 different flavours.

So far I've tried two and couldn't finish them. One was a mint chocolate one and it was so bad. It tasted so artificial and chemically.

Do you know anyone who likes these coffees? I'm starting to think there must be two Beanies coffees and I've got the wrong ones.

I like them made with milk like a latte and with a tiny bit of sugar or sweetener as I do think they are a bit bitter. Don't have them often and wouldn't drink them as my main coffee.

I've tasted a few, and they all taste vile and artificial. Only useful for decanting nicer coffee into the slightly smaller jar for holidays.

I usually drink supermarket own brand freeze dried, so it's not like I'm quaffing hand ground Jamaican Blue by my housekeeper each morning. 😂

I've tried a few of them and they've all been horrible and bitter. Even the smell makes me gag - so artificial!

No. 🤢🤢🤢

Not anyone that I have tried. There are a few people in my work building who seem to be trying them all. A jar regularly appears in the kitchen with a sign to help yourself.

I opened this wondering if it was stealth advertising Grin

I quite like Beanies, stirred into 'proper' coffee, it works out cheaper and less calorific than syrups.

I had a Beanies advent calendar a couple of years ago, after trying a few of the flavours it went in the bin! Ghastly stuff.

Drinking one now (Easter Cream).
The trick is to add a small amount of Beanies to your normal coffee, adds a nice gentle flavour.
Drinking pure Beanies is just vile. 🤮

Ah. That's helpful!

Lidl had the Irish creme one the other day, I'll pick some up tomorrow and report back with detailed findings

Elmo230885 · 11/05/2023 18:23

I find them very hit and miss. I had a hazelnut one that was really nice, and like vanilla & caramel one but I've tried a few that have been disgusting like the chocolate orange one

ChocAuVin · 11/05/2023 18:24

They are all vile.

paddingtonBee · 12/05/2023 08:02

I tried the Irish cream one this morning. To make it drinkable I had to add a teaspoon of sugar.
There was a nice ish creamy taste in there somewhere, but not something I would drink again.

I'm torn between trying them all to see if I like any of them and giving them to my 'Beanies lover' friend.

The nutty hazelnut one is ok. The smell of it reminds me of the soap and glory coffee scrub, but it is drinkable.

I tried the Irish cream one this morning. Absolutely undrinkable.

I have finally found a coffee that's defeated me

Vanillaradio · 13/05/2023 09:08

I've only got the jaffa cake one and it's horrible- tastes really chemical and not like a jaffa cake! I'll try putting a little into normal coffee and see if that improves things!

defi · 13/05/2023 09:14

I hate them instant coffee is an abomination

IHeartGeneHunt · 13/05/2023 09:23

I like the maple fudge one. I'm sure it used to be maple walnut when Julian Graves was still going, and it was much much nicer than it is now. I still like it though.

Dollmeup · 13/05/2023 09:32

Yeah they are awful! I like coffee with syrups though so might have been expecting too much. They went in the bin.
