How much for this round of drinks?
3 pints of lemonade, 1 pint Pepsi, one large G&T, 2 pints of lager.

I got stiffed £20 for a large glass of wine in a golf hotel one time - I’d normally drink a pint which would have been £6. It wasn’t even a particularly memorable glass of wine.

That seems like they rung it up incorrectly. If it's local it might be worth asking.

I had a pint of larger shandy (taps) the other day and it was just under £6. Outrageous price for a (tap) lemonade with a bit of larger.

£20 for a glass of wine! I’d say it was memorable alright - for being such a bloody swizz!
@MaisieDaisyMay it’s not far away but it was a few days ago, I was just prompted to start a thread when I was reading another thread about rising food costs and I thought I’d just ask for the hive mind. Quite a few people were pretty close, I’d say it was rung up correctly but it’s just expensive!

I stayed in 2 different hotels last week. One was just under £10 and the other £12.90. Under the £10 is what I expected to pay in a hotel where we visited.

Not major towns, not in city centres. Not 5 star.

In our local it would be that. It's £8 for a single G&T and £5 a pint 🤷🏼‍♀️.

Glad I stay where I do. At our local pub it’s £7.20 other pubs in the area are approx £8.

I don’t mind paying up to £10 but not over. I’m too miserable for that 😂
