My friend well I say friend I'm not sure .
The other day she posted a pic of some food &I said "mm that looks good where is it from ? " Then she wrote back _ it won't be posh enough for use " anyway I have no idea where this has came from.I mean we're just a average working household, I never post anything like bragging ? I deffinately don't wear designer , get my nails done , any of that stuff. Im a 'won't buy it if it's not on vinted' type of girl but 💁 anyways she then went on to say " well you've fallen on your feet since you met him " &this comment has been pissing me off for days as to me that means that I've been handed everything on a plate , I said to her like I've worked full time since I was 16 and basically so has he ? We do have a house &he has a nice car but we don't smoke , rarely go out, the house was literally 50/50 . Am I being dramatic or would this also piss you off ?
Even though she also has a house , car , she literally posts all time about lip filler , Botox , holidays I did say " what do I have that you don't ? " And I didn't get a response . I just think a friend wouldn't say that and she wonders why I hardly bother with her when she says stuff like that .

Well, neither of you appear to like one another at all, so why not stop sniping and end the ‘friendship’?

TheShellBeach · 08/05/2023 01:03

You do not appear to have anything in common, so why are you even bothered about her?
She just sounds jealous.

Such drama... Pure teenage stuff. Who actually gives a shit about someone else's dinner?!

Fraaahnces · 08/05/2023 01:28

put her in the bin.

I was once in a department store looking at clothes. A woman from my child's school said to me, "I hope you can find something here you like." She was generally quite nice and I took it as meaning she thinks I have good taste and dress nicely. She usually saw me dressed for work, which is not my everyday gear.

Does this woman mean something similar? Maybe you're known to her as someone who has good taste in food? Context depends on how she said it and what she's generally like towards you.

You both sound childish and ridiculous.

I’d be annoyed too and I’d have told her exactly what you said about working hard and that’s why I’ve got stuff.

she sounds jealous and superficial.
