Loving the Disney style castle illuminations!

My comment was in reply to your remarks around Romeo and Juliet. Of course we have enough music to entertain the masses. But that particular piece of the concert was to showcase opera/ballet/acting/art and you'll be hard pressed to find a British artist to cover each of those elements to cover the same story

Why did they have Katy Perry? I was expecting Ed Sheeran to perform. He must be the highest selling British artist at the moment. Was grateful to be spared a performance by Cliff though!

Lionel Ritchie who cannot sing any more which is a shame and you would not want to meet that face on a dark night/

The concert was saved by the special effects. If it were not for that it would have been crap.

Ed has only just finished a court case on an alleged infringement of copyright. He was threatening, if he lost the case, to abandon music! He probably wasn't in the right headspace during the organisational period.

Ed Sheeran is currently on his US tour and I think played Texas on the night of the coronation. Would have been nice to see him in the coronation concert.

I am sure I have read something online where Ed Sheehan has refuted the claims he snubbed the concert and simply said he wasn't asked and was ready on tour anyway.

Nicole Scherzinger was the best performance of the night. Take That were awful. Why didn't Lionel do Dancing On The Ceiling!
