Women's safety volunteers arrested during coronation

Not really sure I'm too comfortable with Met officers removing womens rape alarms given recent history. Unless they have dropped all pretence now ?

They didn't just take the rape alarms off them tho they locked them until the morning if what I have seen on twitter is correct. And they weren't breaking the law. Am shocked about this - we seem to be turning into a totalitarian regime.

And yes, the suggestion women are safe because Met officers are present is a bit rich - two more arrested on Wednesday for kidnap and rape 😡

I dont recall such concern for animals including horses when they tried out the Emergency Alert two weeks ago. I take it members of the Met who work with horses all kept their mobiles well away from said horses back on the 23rd April. As alarms are such a concern

It wasn’t the people being given the alarms that were arrested, it was the people planning to distribute them. One of whom was also arrested for carrying stolen goods.
Rape alarms do not prevent VAWG.

If a met police officer approached me I'd be setting my rape alarm off to be on the safe side.

They can't be arresting people on suspicion that they might later commit an offence. That's fuckery and undemocratic but hey the tories are happy with this.
