I like Camilla’s focus on anti-violence against women and girls. Great that someone in such a public role isn’t trying to sanitize and ignore male violence.

I can’t imagine either of them really wanting to be at the centre of the public side of the job today but it all went off really smoothly and is done. Now hopefully they can all drink a big gin and think about what they will do next with their roles. I think they’ll do fine.

I’m happy that the Church service oaths prioritised Charles promising to ‘serve’. I felt like the previous Queen was an excellent reminder of non-political duty to the public, to the powers that be, at the time when Boris Johnson was taking the piss out of us all over Covid etc. Probably for the first time I felt relieved and happy that the UK still has a monarchy. So hopefully he will represent continuity in a good way.

Yes, did you see when she shoved Charles out of the way grabbed the crown out of the Archbishop's hands and jammed it on her head before legging it up the aisle to sit on the throne shouting 'It's all about ME, it's MY day'? You didn't? Nobody else did either.

This is why he did what he did to Diana. He was very much in her feet, let him have her as she is. I actually liked her dress and her faint smile here and there in the Abbey. Nice lady.

There were points today where I wondered where she'd gone, she was very much in the background and looked quite uncomfortable with it all.
Diana in the other hand I imagine would've taken it all in her stride and the press would've made it about her.

I felt sorry for them, they both looked a bit worn out and as if they'd rather be somewhere else. I reckon Camilla's earned it, I doubt he's an easy man to be with.
