Advice on moving house?

Hi all so before I had my son me and my mother lived in a 2 bed house for 19 years. It was a housing executive house and we absolutely loved it. Unfortunately when my son was born we had to move as it was too far too small. There was no housing executive houses in the area at the time so we had to rent privately. The house were In now is on the same road two estates down from us. It's an amazing house a massive back garden, 4 bedrooms with a living room and toy room, a quiet estate, we really were so lucky to find it at the time. We've been here a year and we love it here. The rent is quite expensive but, the landlord says he has no plans to sell at anytime for the next 15 years but no one knows what the future holds... anyway recently 2 housing executive houses have become vacant in the old estate we used to live in 2 parks down. The only thing is they are 3 bed and quite small houses very small compared to what we are in now. But the only thing is the security of being in a housing executive house forever and long term tenancy. back in our old park. (Which i miss so dearly) .. as I say we love it here where we are now but we don't know if we're going to be here long term.. no body knows. And my 21 month old comes with sooo much junk... the house would be really small ( the housing executive house) but we're just thinking of the security in the housing executive house. Just asking around and looking for different opinions on what to do. Thanks In advance.

Housing Executive? Is that the same as a council house? If so, I would go for it as it gives you security which is important.

It is hard to downsize after you have become used to a certain size. But , while you say that your child has lots of stuff , it won't always be that way . As he gets older, stuff gets more expensive like phones , laptops, gaming things , but not as big as kids big plastic things.
With 3 bedrooms, every one still has there own rooms . Security of tenancy is a really big factor and if I were you , I would definitely go for it.
