It's pizza night at ours tonight, I made the dough this morning and we all had pizza with our choice of toppings (half of the dough is in the freezer for next time!
I love pizza night, everyone gets involved and there are only a few plates to wash!

Had pizza from the build a pizza counter at ASDA as it was just DH and I , followed by rhubarb crumble and custard... the rhubarb crumble is for tomorrow's lunch with MIL , but we had a bit anyway as it'll easily serve 6 and there will only be 3 of us. First rhubarb of the year from our garden!

What is a chippy tea? A bowl of chips or a variety of exotic tea? (Sorry, I'm not British so have no idea??? 🤔)

Something from the fish and chip shop aka 'the chippy'.

MajesticWhine · 29/04/2023 22:59

Jamie Oliver's freezer raid fish pie from his £1 wonder series. Absolutely delicious - it has crispy potato skins round the outside and they are sublime.

Taxitaxiforever · 29/04/2023 23:03

CC4712 · 29/04/2023 23:07

I’m home alone this week because DP is away for work. I always try to eat things he doesn’t like that we don’t have at home if he’s away. He’s allergic to fish which I love. So I had M&S Gastropub fish, chips, and mushy peas. I’m just getting my taste back after Covid and it was delightful, even though the cat stared me out for the fish!

Continental breakfast! Croissant, cheese, ham, sliced chicken, salad bits.

Gingerkittykat · 30/04/2023 00:50

Korean take away which consisted of kimchi fried rice with a fried egg on top, banjan sides of mushrooms and spicy beansprouts and some pork dumplings.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 30/04/2023 01:01

Chinese takeaway - sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, satay chicken, egg fried rice, vegetable chow mein, pork dumplings, vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers. Shared with teen DD and her friends while watching BGT together.

ODFOx · 30/04/2023 01:08

We had asparagus and feta quiche with roasted vegetables and wedges.

FangedFrisbee · 30/04/2023 01:13

Charlie bighams steak & ale pie with chips. Laziest meal ever but it was lovely.

Tomorrow I'm making a chicken ruby from the dishoom cook book with makhani sauce, so that's in the fridge marinating away! I've had surgery and we've had far far far too many ready meals lately.

I'm going to go food shopping tomorrow or Tuesday I think. Unfortunately for me the local retail park which has Waitrose and M&S on it Is the only place available to buy food from at the moment so I'm trying to work out which is the best option.

We live too far away from
Tesco,
Sainsbury's and Asda to get a delivery and I can driving for 45 mins to go Tesco! So I've decided that the retail park is the best place to go.

Nat6999 · 30/04/2023 01:27

Roast duck breast, Jersey Royal potatoes, veg & a hoisin flavoured gravy.
