Is underfloor heating worthwhile?

We only have a tiny bathroom which needs complete renovation and I’m wondering if it would be worthwhile having underfloor heating installed. Probably looking at 1.5m square so very small. Just wondering about rough cost to install and to run.

Watching with interest as we also plan to install electric UFH in our tiny shower room when done plus a towel radiator that is both plumbed and electric. Previous houses where we’ve had UFH in the bathroom has been amazing, really nothing like it. Were you thinking wet or electric UFH?
I’m still awaiting the quote but when we did it before the mat, tiles plus sparky labour was probably under £2k but that was years ago now. We did the screed and laying tiles ourselves to save money.

We have electric UFH in our bathroom. It’s brilliant but we don’t use it very often because it’s expensive to run. I imagine the other type is cheaper to use.

Wet system is probably cheaper to run but initial outlay is much higher. We hope to offset the cost of the electric ufh with solar panels in the future. Also not sure if a wet system can be used independently of the central heating in other spaces.

For a small space like that I'd definitely go for it. We did it in our en suite (with a towel rail for the towels) and I love it. It's programmed to just be on when it's needed so although electric underfloor is more expensive to run in general, a small area for small amounts of time each day is not a big deal.
