Does what I'm looking for exist

Extensive googling tells me not, but I'm hoping the collective power of MN will steer me otherwise...

I'm starting to think about a move back overseas - I've lived abroad before, but as a child / TEFLer / working whatever entry level jobs I could.

Ten years on and I've got a career (of sorts) behind me in - mainly in technology management / service delivery, but all quite 'generic' (though highly translatable) stuff i.e. more generalist manager than in possession of a specialist skillset as such. I did study languages back in the day, though that was 20+ years ago now... UK passport only, sadly.

I'm basically up for going anywhere (no obligations or dependents here, and a property to rent out) and open to what I do - but I'd (broadly speaking) want it to be a continuation of my last ten years' working career, which is very different to my previous 'rock up wherever will take me' approach...

This is where I get stuck - I just don't know where to start. The world is a big place, and I could potentially go a million and one directions.

I suppose I'm trying to find an organisation that is part career coach / part international recruitment, that can link me to positions worldwide, but can also provide guidance on what skills / job markets / pay scales are like in different regions to help direct my search (obviously I can research / do this myself to some degree).

I can find recruitment organisations for particular regions, or agencies for particular types of specific role, but not quite what I'm after here...

Any bright ideas or recommendations welcome and much appreciated!

If you are a member of a professional organisation then they can advise you on where your qualifications and/or skillset will be accepted 'as is'; where you will need to jump through some hoops; and where not to bother. They will also help with work visas etc

Otherwise it's probably down to you to do the web searching and networking with recruitment agencies - in which case I'd go the other way around of deciding the country I wanted to live and then looking for work. Theother option is of course to decide the job you want and look for where it is in demand.

Also, as a person who has frequently moved between countries, with a much less tranferable skillset - wherever you want to go, you'll find work. Not necessarily the right work straight off, but good enough while you find your feet.

I'm a big believer in following your passion - so is the job your passion, or is the place your passion? That will help with choosing your pathway.
