Would yours have been hairy?

I was watching Derren Brown on TV. He asked a young woman to help him on stage and she was in a position that bared her arm pits. Perfectly waxed and smooth. I thought if it had been me I would have shown stubble or hairy armpits. Not that it matters but it would have to me.

The only time I shave mine is in the summer when wearing sleeveless tops. So yes if I were in a sleeveless top they'd be smooth

@StressedToTheMaxxx it took about five sessions. There's maybe three hairs left in each pit.

today there's some short hair, but that's only because I shaved last week after bleaching and dyeing them pink for a laugh. usually they're completely left alone to grow as they please!

Haven't shaved mine in several decades. I hate the 'sticky' feeling of shaved skin on skin - a bit of hair there reduces the friction.

If it had been me everyone would have been asking where the gorilla came from.

I shave mine every day in the shower, it's just habit...but I also doubt I'd be wearing a top to show my armpits.

How many sessions did you need? Was it expensive? Is it just gone for good now?

Like many others, do armpits everyday in the shower as I hate the feeling of stubble there. However the rest of me is a different story and would likely be hairy

I was sat watching it thinking the exact same (also odd how she went straight into acting mode when she was on the phone 🤨) I joked with DH...can you imagine being in that position and not having shaved your pits! Saying that, if I was going out in that top for the evening I perhaps would have.

@GoodChat I think it was about five sessions. I can't remember the cost. Maybe £30 per session?

I've had my legs done too. My bikini line was literally halfway down my thighs. I need a few more sessions but it's vastly improved.

If you are hairy with dark hair and pale skin I would highly recommend it.

I didn't see the TV show, but I presume she didn't take off her top and stand in her bra? So I don't really understand your point about positioning. Why would you wear a sleeveless top and not shave if you don't want people to see hairy armpits? Do you just clamp your arms to your sides and not move them? Doesn't that look a bit strange?

My leg hair is really light but everything else is dark so strongly considering it!

I mean if someone looked right now then they’re not smooth and hairless. But I’m still wearing jumpers and long sleeved tops.

Rarely wear armpit showing outfits but I am very bothered about showing armpit hair. Leg hair not so much.

Is it difficult to shave your armpits as they are concave? (I'm a man so only do my face which is more convex.)

@BunnyFun - It's simple. A curve is a curve. There are practical reasons for doing it too. Deodorant sticks to hairs. I also know a few men who now remove underarm hair.

So are 'getting at something' even if you think you're not?

It was worthy of discussion for you to start a thread that a woman had smooth armpits when you don’t and your pits would not have 'looked so good'

So what are you thinking or wanting to discuss? That smooth armpits look good and yours often aren't so what?

Mine are stubbly, but I’d either
a) not have volunteered or, more likely,
b) not cared.

A poster in my local Primark underwear department currently has a stubbly pitted model, and I noticed one of the supermarket clothes departments used a hairy armpitted model to model a dress on the website recently. Do people still care how bald or smooth a woman’s pits are?
