Fear of putting hand in banana boxes at supermarkets.

I seem to have picked up a fear of getting bananas out of boxes at the supermarket.

All I can think of is a big, hairy spider is inside from a far away, exotic country and it's stopping me buying bananas.

Help!

My friend went for an interview in our local banana packing factory many years ago. She saw the dead bodies of spiders littering the production line, didn't take the job!

OMG, I feel all shivery now, I have a bunch of bananas on my bench!

20 ish years ago I was working in a university kitchen and had to unpack big boxes of bananas... One day a fairly large spider ran out and bit me on the foot. My leg swelled up like a marrow. Hugely unpleasant but I still buy bananas.
