All shades of blue. Then there's quite a lot of black and grey, and a fair bit of green, and a couple of pink bits. In warmer weather I wear a lot of white and cream, but it only suits me when I've got a tan.

BreakfastOfWaffles · 23/04/2023 07:06

I usually stick to green, blue, pink, yellow and lilac, with grey as my neutral. I never wear navy, beige, coral, ochre or burgundy.

BusterGonads · 23/04/2023 07:11

Black.
Various shades of dark blue.
All my shoes are red though, they're my trademark.

In winter/autumn: Green, blue, pink, with a smattering of reds and purples.

In summer: pale pink, light blue, lemon, white, light green/lime, and orange.

I love colour ♥️

redspottedmug · 23/04/2023 07:47

Navy, teal, grey, black, white, cream.
Red accents

SorePaw · 23/04/2023 07:51

top half white, grey, white, white, navy, white... but more white!

🤣🤣

hexsnidgett · 23/04/2023 07:53

Black, grey, blue, navy, khaki. I would love more burgundy, but never find anything I like.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 23/04/2023 07:58

I can’t really do ivory, cream or white, and no to khaki and mustard and brown. And gold. But own clothes in most other colours or shades of them. Which I think suit me.

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 23/04/2023 08:00

I love blue, but certain types, cornflower etc. and a bit of navy. More recently green and reds but not necessarily bright reds more watermelon reds.

DiscoBeat · 23/04/2023 08:02

Navy. But I haven't got my summer wardrobe out yet (although thinking about it there's quite a bit of navy and white there too!)

Aozora13 · 23/04/2023 08:09

Mine is probably about 70% black plus navy, grey, purple, burgundy and dark green. Also electric blue. I have a few white things but don’t think I suit light colours generally.

I thought it was just my personality but I did one of those colour assessment thingies on line and with dark hair, blue eyes and a peelly-wally complexion, turns out to be legit!

Navy blue. I’m sick to death of it

Same here. I think I got it into my head that it always looks smart and classic but softer than black. So bored of it. I need some colour in my life!!

ladygindiva · 23/04/2023 08:20

Khaki. It's my safe colour. I know it suits me and goes with most of my other stuff so have numerous items in khaki.

luckylavender · 23/04/2023 08:22

I like colour & rarely wear grey, white, navy blue or brown. Not much of a blue person either. A rainbow of all the others especially green, purple & pink. All shades.

AndrexPuppy · 23/04/2023 08:33

It’s really random but the older I get, the more I realise that I need to buy colours that work with my colouring. For years I poo-pooed the “colour me beautiful” type analysis but the older I get, the more I think there’s something in it. I suppose I’m worried that I’d be told that I’m a season that I don’t want to be or a season that means I have to get rid of most of my clothes. Plus, it seems quite expensive.

Oldraver · 23/04/2023 08:38

Turquoise, teal sort of colours

AndrexPuppy · 23/04/2023 08:41

Is it worth doing the colour analysis stuff online?

Freshlycutgrasss · 23/04/2023 09:01

Black

lljkk · 23/04/2023 10:49

My dad changed. He was an autumn until he got grey hair & now he can wear anything. For peachy white people, anyway, White /grey hair changes the calculus. Having been a "summer", I can wear anything now, too.

And then it depends what you find normal. There are a lot of Nigerian (check suit any colour scheme you can think of) outfits I find eye-watering jarring, but they are just normal even judged smart in that culture, regardless of wearers' skin tones.

2chocolateoranges · 23/04/2023 10:51

Black, khaki, navy

AndrexPuppy · 23/04/2023 12:19

On the 'seasons' thing, I'm definitely a 'warm' season. Make-up wise, I can't wear blue red lipstick or silvery/cool eyeshadows. I look much better in orange-reds, corals and straight up oranges on my lips, though peachy nudes are bad. I'm edging towards Autumn because of my sickliness in peachy nudes but I can't wear brown nudes on my lips either. I need a rosy nude with a tiny bit of warmth in it if I'm doing nude lips. Coppery and reddish burgundy colours look best on my eyes (mid-toned hazel with quite a lot of green).

Based on that knowledge, I try to only buy autumn type colours but I often fail at it when I see something I like that doesn't come in the 'right' colour. This is especially the case when the 'wrong' colour palettes and shapes are fashionable and finding anything right is really difficult. I end up panic buying something 'sort of right', because the shape is ok even though I know that the colour doesn't work. FGS.
