Hysteroscopy and d&c recovery

Had the above, with polyp removal and mirena insertion on Wednesday. I had similar done 9 years ago and I felt fine 2 days later. I was right as rain yesterday but very achey and my abdomen is very heavy today. Based on my previous experience I had hoped to go to the gym this morning but decided to skip it. I have a good pain tolerance and purposely did nothing yesterday as I'm usually over ambitious when I'm recovering from anything (I'm a frustrated and frustrating patient!). I know it's a piece of string answer, but how long would you give yourself to get over it?

It's frustrating but if you feel achy and heavy, you need to rest. That's your body telling you what it needs to heal up. Perhaps just walk and see how you feel on Sunday or Monday? I've had seven hysteroscopies now and each time it's felt a little different. I actually had the latest on Tuesday. I've cut out my weights this week. On Wednesday I just walked. Thursday I did a very short step class, no jumping, just stepping. Today I did a Pilates session, again just 30 minutes.

Heal up quickly!

Yeah, I know you're right and weights are definitely out for a couple more days. Even walking the dog this morning i didn't go as far as usual to not push too hard. Turns out I need to exercise more than I thought!

Hope you heal quickly too.

I gave myself a week from a similar procedure. Mainly due to the anaesthetic.

Actually it was the anesthetic that nobbled me last time, this time I'm fine after it, but more achey. I'll just have to develop some patience I think.
