Relocation is potentially on the cards …

What are the nicest areas? Budget of around £600,000. Also interested in schools, private or state. Any other info would be appreciated too.

Worcester born and bred here. I live in the South West for about twenty years and returned home five years ago. Ask away. Are you looking rural or city?

Will you be commuting? Worcester is great, but historic and the infrastructure can be tricky regarding crossing the river. I’d never want to live and work separate sides of the river, gets especially bad in the winter when flooding can shut the main bridges and cause tailbacks. Fine if you don’t have to cross it though! Also look really carefully on the flood maps before you buy.

Thanks - that’s interesting!

Looks like a possible company move in the next year or so - I have only been once, many years ago!

I live 7 miles away in a lovely small town, we relocated here in 2007 from Sussex and never looked back.
It is all about being on the right side of the river in this area- you are so limited by the number of car river crossings, and flooding in the area is common enough affecting those too.

I live very close to Worcester! Would stay north worcester if moving to the city itself, traffic is an issue south of the river and most of the accommodation is taken up by students (no hate to them!). I have lived in Malvern, Warndon villages and currently live between Worcester and Bromsgrove.
I love living here it's great for commuting, not just for work but for family days out, M5 so easy to access whether you want to go north or south and good trains to Birmingham.
Schools might not be much help with as my boy is only starting in September but he is going to a small village school that only takes 20 pupils a year and rated outstanding. In Worcester itself there is a 2 tier primary / secondary set up. Where I am it's 3 tier so first middle then secondary. Feel free to pm me
