Dull critical illness question.

Dh had a stroke several years ago at quite a young age, then after the event took out critical illness cover, which excludes vascular events.

Since then he had a life threatening heart attack (due to an abnormality, not lifestyle), and didn’t tell the insurance company because 1. It was a very stressful time and he forgot, 2. When he remembered he felt it wouldn’t be relevant anyway.

He’s now worried (3 years later) that if anything happens health wise, because he hasn’t mentioned the heart attack (because it’s not relevant to his insurance), he’ll be denied a payout.

So now he has the dilemma of whether to ring up about it and potentially have a hefty price increase, or whether to leave it as he’s not covered for that anyway.

Does anyone have an opinion or advice?
Thank you!

I’d tell them now, I don’t think he would be covered otherwise.

He needs to tell them.
