F.R.I.E.N.D.S - The One Where We Discuss All The Clothes

I bloody love Rachel Greene's wardrobe, even her pyjamas are lovely. She always looks fantastic. I loved the long green coat she wears when breaking up with Ross after he'd cheated. There was another time she's sat at the kitchen table wearing a red dress and red shoes. Awesome. The mini skirt and knee high boots when she announces she's moving to Paris.

Phoebe wore a couple of things I liked but not a great deal - there was a mustard cardigan I loved and also a brown and orange outfit when she finds out about Joey fancying Rachel. I do like all her quirky hairstyles and clips.

The only thing that wowed me from Monica's clothes was a bright yellow / orange dress she wore to a party whilst dating Pete. I find most of her clothes quite boring.

Phoebe's yellow dress in the no one's ready one was fab before the sauce got splashed on it.

I didn't notice at the time how many mini skirts Rachel wore. They were definitely more in fashion then than now. You hardly see young women in them now. (Unless super done up and out in town at night)

Phoebe's was also my favourite wedding dress of the series.

They wore a lot of polo necks. Phoebe had a light green one with think purple and black stripes that I had an almost identical top of at the time.

I really liked a lot of Rachel's clothes in the early series. All the mini skirts and tops she wore to waitress. She had one denim top tied at the waist which was cute but these two are my favourites, just not the socks with the plaid skirt!!

I agree she did casual really well - like in the football Thanksgiving one.

Rachel wore a lovely white lacy top in the episode Brad Pitt was in. I always really liked that.

I liked the grey button up dress Rachel wore when they were trying to see what was on the videotape of her and Ross.

Also loved what she was wearing when she came back from Ross and Emily's honeymoon 🤣

Also the tie front dress she wore when she kissed Joey in Barbados.

Monica had a lovely teal and brown stripy top in one episode

So many lovely clothes, already mentioned but the gold strapless dress with the thigh split is one of my favourites.

I know it’s super plain but Rachel wore a lot of T-shirts like this & I remember being obsessed with getting a similar one! I think like pp said she did casual really well.

My favourite is when she was a personal stylist and she was dressing the bloke she fancied in suits. It was like a black mini dress with a sheer floral over bit.

@cornflakegeneration I was obsessed with that dress! I finally tracked it down, it was a DVF one from a previous season so it was unavailable anywhere. I don’t know why I was so gutted, my droopy, post menopausal boobs would not look their best in that halterneck but my god it was beautiful

I really like Rachel's tartan trousers when she gets her tattoo and her save the drama for your mama T-shirt.

Series 6/7 Monica was very stylish

I liked the mini skirt with the sleeveless denim shirt from when she was waitressing

I loved the dress she wore when they were in Barbados, when she was kissing Joey. Only thing I really hated was the turtleneck jumper, in the one where Estelle dies. Loathed that, but overall a great wardrobe

Yes I’m still looking for the perfect Rachel Greene v-neck! I seem to remember I had a similar one from French Connection but it didn’t live up to expectations. Probably because I’m not Jennifer Anniston 😂.

Yep and the actor who played his dad is actually Matthew perrys father
