A month ago I bought several pairs of trainers online for ds. He tried them, kept some and i returned the others. I sent two pairs back to one shop. But they say they only received one pair, and have refunded me for that.

So two options; they are either lying and they have not recorded one pair as being received, or the courier company stole one pair then delivered the damaged parcel to the sports shop.

Sports shop say the parcel was undamaged. I've opened a complaint with the courier company, which is taking forever.

I've complained to the sports shop, which just says that the parcel was undamaged but only one pair of trainers was received and sent back to the stockroom.

I have proof that i paid for extra insurance to cover the cost of both pairs of trainers. I've asked the courier company for photo proof that the parcel was delivered, but they have not provided this.

I've raised a claim with PayPal too, but all they have said is that i can have a refund if I return the goods - which i already have!!!

What else can i do? I can't believe this is taking so long to resolve.

I had this situation returning 2 pairs of very expensive jeans. The company (who I will never shop with again) said I had only returned one pair despite them being in exactly the packaging they were sent in. I sent proof if the weight of the package but still no. So I told them I would be contacting the police as obviously someone in their returns department had stolen the jeans.... Miraculously the jeans were 'found' and I got my refund....

Thank you.

Yeah, I bet that's what happened. I have said that in an email to the customer service dept but they have said no, that's not possible. (Despite several online reviews saying people have had just the same experience as I have 🙄🙄🙄.)

I wonder if contacting the police would work here. I really want a photo from the courier showing the package as it was delivered!

Do you have a weight for the parcel with the courier company?

Ariela · 14/04/2023 11:59

And does the courier delivery have proof of delivery photo?

I gave the weight and dimensions when I ordered the courier. I have asked them for this proof - it's not included in the order details I can see.

That's what I've asked them for!

We had this twice.

Once a present arrived damaged, we had ring doorbell footage the driver (well known courier company) collected it (they say they didn’t).

Other we sent back with Royal Mail, I asked for proof of sending (was 1 item), it never arrived so I sent the Post Office proof and the retail company accepted this.

ive seen the well known couriers throw, kick and drag parcels along in bags with holes the pavement then into the back of vans. It’s run so cheap it’s not fit for purpose.

even with RM if proof of posting is not accepted there is a gaping hole of problems. RM tends to be the better option as more reliable IMO.
