One which you know to be wrong but which rules out lots of letters

For example, a few days back, I had OER ie three greens and two blacks. I played GAWKY to rule in/out ROGER, POKER, JOKER, FOYER, BOWER

It's a word that you know isn't the answer but contains possible letters. It helps eliminate wrong answers or confirm possible right answers. I use it when you have 'one of those' games.

e.g if you have sae there are many possible words (spade shape snake scale space stale etc.)
instead of guessing one of those words you might use "chalk" to see which consonants are /not in the answer.
