Moths in bedroom

We seem to have developed a bit of a moth problem and I'm not sure where from, or how to deal with it.

It seems to only be in our bedroom (at the moment!) and I'm lying in bed and can see at least 10. We don't have carpet in this room, and the only carpet we have in the house (on the stairs and landing) is only a few months old - not sure if that's relevant. We also recently (in Jan) got rid of our old wardrobe and got a new one and that involved getting all out clothes out and we threw away/donated loads that we don't wear.

How can I find out where they're coming from? And what is the best way to get rid of them?

The only thing that is new in the bedroom is a potted plant, not sure what type but it looks like a succulent type thing (it was a gift), and I think the first moth appeared shortly it arrived. Can certain plants attract them/carry larvae?

Parasitic micro wasps sound like something out of a nightmare!!

Have you used these, did they work well? Would I just put them anywhere in the room?

Also, how do I know if it's carpet moths?

Firstly, it is the grubs, not the moths that do the damage. Next, they only like the good stuff, so wool, cashmere, silk and alpaca. Set up the pheromone traps and clear space in your freezer for your sweaters and wool based garments. Ideally a week, and the stick the on the line to defrost. Also, the moths and larvae dislike light so get it out on the line to kill them. Carpets are not so easy.
