Do I need the MAP?

Urgh. Hate to be even asking. Should know better.

Last night, heat of moment. No real penetration but definitely contact (I sound about 12 I know)

I'm mid 40's. I have 3 DC already. I have no idea where I am in my cycle as I missed a period this month (this was first sexual contact I've had in about 6 months so I'm definitely not pregnant). Did an OPK earlier and it was very faint (I can show a pic?)

Shitting myself. Have a history of getting pregnant easily. Albeit its always been when TTC [hence the OPKs].

Tummy feels funny. Ovulation-esque or physichosematic I don't know.

I can get MAP first thing. Will be 36 hours post sexual contact.

Know someone who genuinely got pregnant in a very similar situation. No ejaculation. Feeling like a fucking idiot.

OPK for what it's worth.

Get MAP -looks like the OPK is + though

Thank you.

I wouldn't say it's positive (for me). I get really strong and immediate + when I am about to ovulate. Ironically I had to TTC for several years. My issue is recurrent miscarriage though.

Off to chemist first thing. Kids in tow 😪

Better to just get the MAP just in case. Something similar happened to me last month and I didn't get the MAP. Spent 2 weeks feeling anxious and worrying. Luckily my period started this weekend and never been so delighted.

Thank you.

After a condom pregnancy (ended in miscarriage) last year I'm so paranoid.

Time to go and get the coil fitted again. Although my GP has stopped doing all the gynae stuff so I'll need to get booked in a sexual health clinic.

*all my children and pregnancies have been with my long term partner of 20 years. We just haven't had sex in months as I've had medical issues, I now actually take a medication that you should not get pregnant.

Sorry to over explain. 😢

Typo - Medication you should not get pregnant whilst taking

Do you need to wait until tomorrow morning? One local pharmacy should be open late, can you go when DH gets home? Sooner is better than later.

I'll have a ring around. Good thinking!! And yes the sooner the better.

I think the chances are very small. But you've got nothing to lose for getting the MAP if only for peace of mind

Opk lines have to both be strong to be positive. They look like this throughout the month. They’re not like pregnancy tests.

But if you’re concerned, get the MAP.

I have strong lines when ovulating, but no lines at other times (I'm a seasoned ttc'er). These kind of lines would usually be post ovulation.

But I don't want to take any chances so have found a chemist I can drive to tonight.

Oh and period is a week late, not totally absent (had a period a week early in Feb so I'm a bit skewiff at the moment)
