Please, I need to make some to take for Easter lunch tomorrow. I’ve never found an amazing recipe, I like them dense and fudgy.

What recipe do you use?

I love Janes Patisseries recipes…. They always work.

however I’m trying a Cupcake Gemma recipe today for my Easter bake and the first layer is baked and looks amazing.

Just get the Betty Crocker mix from Tesco. Honestly. Get two boxes and mix them together (so you have loads) with double the ingredients and bobs your uncle. Best brownies ever. I made them for a school event and everyone kept complimenting me saying they were the best they’d ever had 😆🙈

Lidls own - the best I've had!

I can't do links, but I use the classic gooey Bournville brownie recipe on the Cadbury website. Have used it for years, never fails me.

Janes Patisserie

Delia. Just the best ever. People always rave over them when I make them

(not sure all these choices are helping 🤔)

Came hear to say this, they are indeed the very best brownies in the whole wide world.

Ive made Nigellas for years, recently made a change to Nigel Slaters after reading they were good on a similar thread to this.

Jane's Patisserie triple chocolate - the best. Just won first prize at the village show last weekend!

Another fan of BBC Good Food recipe. Super simple but always delicious

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 10/04/2023 08:00

I did good food ones, doubled the recipe and it was so gooey (ie undercooked) in the middle it had to be scooped out with a spoon but tasted just like chocolate fondant so thank you all who suggested them. They went done v well

I think the key is to take them out when the outer inch is quite firm and shiny but still significantly wobbly in the middle. Once cool, overnight in fridge. Always fudgy but never runny. Have faith!

I make these brownies for my cafe and they sell very well. V rich and fudgy if not over baked.
Melt 225g butter and a bar of dark chocolate cooking choc in the microwave. Add 450g caster sugar. Stir. Microwave another couple of minutes. Whisk 5 medium/large eggs with a fork then add to the mix and stir in. Add 110g of plain flour and 55g of cocoa powder. Mix in with a spoon then whisk for about 30 seconds with a hand whisk. Add to a grease proof paper lined brownie tin (needs to be 1.5 - 2” deep). Cook until it’s got a good wobble but is firm (probably 25 mins at 190 in my oven). I often put a foil loosely over the top after 15 mins.

Brownies are better if removed slightly before you think they’re done. They set more as they cool.

Put in the fridge, or even better the freezer, and they are easier to cut.
