Teen DS has just told me I’m disgusting because I laughingly admitted having an epic crush on a YouTube ASMRist that I follow during a conversation about YouTube influencers.

In his words, it’s “totally gross and inappropriate for a Mum to fancy someone” and that I’m “too old for all that” (at 40)

Mums of Mumsnet! Tell us who you fancy so we can collectively shatter DS’s illusions and ruin his life! 😂

Other than the ASMRtist, I would definitely not say no to Andrew Garfield, Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy/Walking Dead) or Jake Johnson from New Girl.

Tom Hardy of course, it’s well known that he reads bedtime stories to mums.

This is brilliant though @MrsHughesPinny as now you have the perfect way to wind up your teenager! I would be always saying “well he’s got a good six pack doesn’t he DS?” whenever any hot man appeared on TV.

Not just mums - I remember being horrified when I found out my dad fancied someone on TV (maybe Michaela Strachan?)!

Liking some of the suggestions here. Honourable mention for Henry Cavill and James Norton for me.

They grow out of it thankfully, my dd set up my dating profile for me though did tell me in no uncertain terms that she did not want any more siblings! (I'm too old anyway)

I really fancy my boyfriend, and sometimes he whispers in my ear (ASMR style) “I’m yours” and I could just melt into a puddle on the floor.

I have been married to Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters for some time now. He doesn’t know yet and when he does I think he will be disappointed at first, but over time when he hears about my credentials he will come to realise that we have been very happy together. My daughters don’t mind too much because they have already written me off as a deluded fantasist.
