Asking for support

Just looking for some positive stories and support, having a few breast lumps checked tomorrow at the breast clinic.

Found a lump, went to the doctors where she found a few more in each breast, she said she wasn't concerned due to there being so many plus my age (35). Also aware that 90% of lumps turn out to be ok.
Appointment is tomorrow afternoon so just looking for some support, a hand hold and encouragement. Going alone tomorrow as partner is with the children so need some reassurance.

Hand hold and encouragement being sent in waves to you OP. Keep focussing on what the GP has said that they’re not concerned but good also to be getting it checked out anyway. Some people do have lumpy breasts. I do and the GP said the same when I had them checked. Sorry you’ve got to go to the appointment alone but soon be over and you can get on with your day.

Hand hold from me too. Whatever happens at least you'll know and you can then deal with it.

I had severe itching on both my breasts which is a really bad sign. I was adamant I'd get bad news. They did a mammogram and an ultrasound and there was nothing. They commented that I looked petrified (even though I thought I hid it really well!).

It's okay to be nervous. We're here with you.

Thank you both, due in at 2pm, swinging between thinking I'm going to die (bit dramatic) and reminding myself that 90% are all ok

My friend has worked in Breast Clinic for many years and reports that the vast majority of lumps are benign.
I hope that you're feeling ok .

Thanks all, update is that they basically couldnt find anything, if there was something there its now gone, they said that GPs get about 2 days training in finding breast lumps so can get it wrong, she said I have normal breast tissue. Was given am ultrasound on the 1 breast I felt a lump in and it was all clear. Im happy its all ok, slightly annoyed the gp said they found more as I had to cut my holiday short for this appointment but its always better to be safe then sorry.

That’s really good news and as you say much better to have had it checked out.
