As the title says… currently 4 weeks non-weight bearing whilst I am recovering from ankle surgery.

The novelty of sitting down doing nothing all day is slowly wearing off…

Give me your top tips for getting through these next few weeks!

Things to watch
Things to read
Things to do
Any mobility tips etc

Finding crutches super hard and painful so I am hiring a knee scooter!

I just read Pachinko by Min Jin Lee that was so good. It’s long and easy to get lost in.

When I was housebound for a few weeks I had mini projects like watch a TED talk on a subject I don’t know much about each day. Or “this week I’m going to listen to albums I loved growing up.”

Knitting, sewing, cross stitch kit
silly games on the iPad / tablet
wordle
soduko or crossword app
research holiday destinations
clear out drawers if you can do them sitting on a chair
is there someone who could drive you out somewhere for a change of scenery?

Oh and if you have sky you can get a free Apple TV subscription for 6 months. Bad sisters and shrinking are very funny.

Learn to crochet. Loads of YouTubes to help. A Little Course in Crochet is an excellent book, and you can order some hooks and yarn at the same time.

Married at first sight Australia, hours of entertainment!

Me too. Day six and I'm bored already! And so slow on crutches...

My top tip is the litter picker rods. I bought two on Amazon and they're life savers (I'm not allowed to bend down) so you can get dressed with them, pick stuff off the floor etc.

Research your family tree online
