Bedroom furniture

I am looking for some bedroom furniture. Specially bedside tables and 2 x sets of drawers.

I have searched high and low for something midrange. Done IKEA (too flimsy), The Range, Homebase, Dunelm, etc. they're all such poor quality or really tiny (?!).

Tried the likes of Oak Furniture Land & Furniture World, but they were over budget. Ideally I'd like not to spend any more than £800-1000 for what we're after.

My last port of call is M&S (they have a nice set for £800), however, I am loathe to buy online and the nearest store with any furniture is miles away... 🥴

Am I missing somewhere glaringly obvious?

If you want a matching set, that's quite a low budget. The last I bought was 2 bedside cabinets from Laura Ashley and they were £400 each.

Possibly https://www.sustainable-furniture.co.uk/ Most of theirs is UK made I think

Chiltern oak - I've no I sideboard from here

Cotswold company

£1000 won't get you top of the range, more like sale bargains

Avoid next.

Did you do a renovation too? I started last year and it hasn't ended yet. It's good that you decided not to use Ikea, I never figured out how to assemble their furniture, I'm probably too old for their instructions because until my son came and assembled it, it lay like that. Therefore, already when I was buying modern console tables for the living room, I ordered from another company and immediately had them assembled for me. Because it’s a shame to call your son like that for every assembly.

Agree £1,000 isn’t that much if you want really quality bits of furniture. That being said got our bedroom furniture (Dawson range- now discontinued) and side tables and a chest of drawers for the spare room (Hastings) from Marksies and they’re very solid compared to the flat pack bits we have in the kids’ rooms which weren’t all that much cheaper. The stuff in our room is six years old and still looks great with no problems despite daily use. I’d have no problem recommending M&S tbh if there’s a style you like.
