What sandals to take to Rome in June?

I've never found Birkenstocks comfortable so they're ruled out.

Hoping to wear them in in advance, which is why I'm asking so early!

Tevas every time. Those cobbles are a bitch!

Definitely Tevas or even just wear trainers and socks. Honestly I’ve never done as much walking as we did when we went to Rome and there’s so, so many cobbles and steps everywhere! We absolutely loved it - went for our honeymoon- but you’ll need super padded soles on whatever you choose.

None! You need shoes you can walk 10 miles a day in.
