Planning a quick trip to Bristol with the DC next week
Can anyone give me some inspiration on what you might do to make the most of such a short time !
DC are 11 and 9

Currently thinking suspension bridge / Clifton lunch / curious science museum / street art tour / st Nicholas market but no idea of logistics really -
Would love some local intel on how to maximise on 24 hours

Oh and DD Loves Bubble tea so finding that en route would be icing on the
Cake.

A great place to go for family days out is Almondsbury Creative, there are events like the Summer Carnival just gone where there were loads of kids' activities and a Taylor Swift tribute. They've got a country music festival for families in September too. Plus, there is a cider and pie festival, which I'm so excited about!

Get the train to somewhere nicer, like Bath or Cardiff. If I never have to go to Bristol again it'll be too soon!

I thought wake the tiger was terrible. Really wouldn’t bother making the trip from the centre of town/Clifton over to it.
Your original plan (minis we the curious!) sounds much better.
There’s also currently a unicorn trail running around Bristol, you should be able to download a map for it.

@TenOhSeven ha- we lived in Bristol for 2 years and moved to bath- I've been to Bristol now 3 times since 2015 . I quite like Clifton and the view over suspension bridge but prefer to live in a big Clifton. Apart from that I found it just wasn't me- everywhere I went in felt grubby , the centre is a mess. I'm not vegan, not into cycling, not into weed and I think as I've got older I'm just beyond appreciating those aspects.

I can see if you have younger children there may be some decent things to do- walk round the docks, the big interactive place on the docks (forgot what it's called) the SS Great Britain etc .
