Anyone have any experience of them?

My toddler is a bit young but I’m hoping to enrol him when he‘a 18 months because I’ve decided he’s becoming a pro footballer.

Just wondering if anyone’s kids have gone and whether it was enjoyed?

We sent my son when he was 18 months old, and suffice to say it was an absolute shit show. He was far too young. Too young to understand what was going on, too young to listen to instructions, too young to want to concentrate for any length off time. Just too young full stop. We went to two sessions before realising everyone else was getting pissed off with the disruption from a young toddler just wanting to pick up the ball and run away with it. We sent him again when he turned 3 and he absolutely loves it.

Would I recommend - yes
Would I recommend for an 18 month old? Hell no

Years ago but ds went as a toddler- had loads of fun. It's just a football themed toddler group but he enjoyed it

DS went to a similar group called Didikicks. He loved it and the coaches were all really good. It was typical though of every toddler group, run by women. I loved that btw, they were all players from our local semi-pro women's team and were brilliant. They engaged really well with the kids in each age group. It was all indoors and football based exercises and games. No actual matches or opponents.

As he aged out and went to 'proper' football, run by men with teams and matches to play, it all got a bit more serious and he didn't enjoy it. He was only 4 and had just started Reception as well, the 2 changes were too much and he dropped out. It was really sad to see at the time, but the whole set up was totally different and DS just wasn't happy.

Ah I remember my eldest going to this, we called it little feckers!! Was absolute carnage but quite sweet for teaching taking turns, clapping each other, working together, a bit of coordination and ball skills too! He was about 2.5 but quite mature (compared to my others at that age)and really wanted to do it.

About a third of them didn't even know why we were there and one evidently hated it and used to pretend to get stuck in the toilet 😂 wouldn't bother if they were still in nappies tbh
