Fitness machine advice please

I desperately want a rowing machine at home. I've tried them at the gym, love them and the end result, but don't have the space for one.

Then I saw this https://www.jmldirect.com/health-and-beauty/fitness-equipment/spacegym-pro-level-workouts-using-latest-flywheel-training-technology

Does anyone have one? Or does anyone with reasonable fitness knowledge have an opinion?

Thanks in advance

I have no idea re fitness but suspect anything from JML is going to be a gimmick rather than serious equipment

If it was £24.99 I might take a gamble on it but £249 seems like a lot of money for something I can’t entirely see the point of. You’d be better buying yourself a couple of kettlebells and going for a run round the block!

CanIAskAnotherStupidQuestion · 27/03/2023 21:17

It’s not a rowing machine though. It’s close to a weights rack attachment. For a decent rowing workout you need the sliding action with leg extension.

Yeah, you've all confirmed what I thought tbh.

I watched all the blurb and thought it might suffice, but it won't.
@londonmummy1966 that looks okay, not too big. It's out of stock, but I'll have another nosy at more compact machines.

Thank you 🌷🌷🌷

Hey,

I bought one few weeks back for £249.

Great device, although it's sold on JML they are just the sellers, not the manufacturers.

It's flywheel training and is becoming alot popular lately.

Can also buy another disc to add additional resistance.

They will be bringing out a row attachment to mimic rowing machine later this year.

Great for the price if you compare to the noisy handygym equipment.

I'll second what EmmatheDilemma said, get a set of kettlebells. Good for cardio and resistance training, you can do a really intense workout with them. They are relatively cheap, unbreakable, don't take up much room and can be used as handy doorstops.
